Here’s how I beat these mofos. Skip them? I think not.
First of all, make sure you sneak up on them, then use Fira to get him stagged. Once there, have Vanille use Saboteur to get his defenses down, then switch back to Slash & Burn. Go at it until he regrows his stuff, then use Symbiosis (Med/Syn) to build the team up. Use Slash & Burn (I alternate Vanille from using Auto combo and picking Fira) to get the scalebeast’s bar up, and use War & Peace to heal when necessary.
